What Time Zone?

There is an easy answer and a complex one.

The easy answer that Antelope Canyon is always the same time as Pheonix, Arizona. So just check to see what time it is in Phoenix and you will know what time Antelope Canyon is using.

The more complicated explanation is that Arizona runs on Mountain Standard time, and does not adjust for Daylight Savings Time. Some of the year, Arizona is in the same time zone as Nevada, and the rest of the year it is the same time zone as Utah. The Navajo Reservation does follow daylight savings time, but Antelope Canyon makes an exception to this to follow the same time as Page and Phoenix.

One more complication is that the area is very close to the state line between Arizona and Utah. Utah is one hour later than Arizona, so travelers’ phones may jump back and forth between time zones while driving to the area, and even within the local region. So whether you followed all of this or not, we will refer you back to the “easy answer” that Antelope Canyon is always in the same time zone as Phoenix.
